Being in Witness protection...

How would it feel if you are under the Witness Protection Program? Knowing that your life is in danger and you might not have a normal life again? I wouldn't want to be in that situation but if it will result to an innocent person being given back his or her life or to convict people who have done injustice to other people, I would do it. Even if it means I will sacrifice my own happiness and life. But what city would I like to relocate to if that happens? I think I would want to relocate to Texas since I heard that there is reciprocity between CPA's in the Philippines and the US there. I don't have to take some classes and sit on a board exam just to have a license. At least I can work as usual but with added bonus of being recognized as a certified professional.

Anyway, check out USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight. We can get an insight on how people under witness protection are being relocated and protected by the government through US Marshals.

I Can Relate to...

Have you heard about USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight, the all new crime drama which premiered June 1st? Yes, that television series that shows Mary Shannon, the character, as a cool marshall managing and protecting Federal witnesses from harm. Her life is always on the line with her job. Her character is the type that has a very strong personality and always help other people. I can relate to her in some way. I'm not that strong and I'm not that dependable and helpful but I think in some degree I am strong and helpful. I don't want to be depending on other people's backs and be a bum or not have a direction in life. If I can help in any way, I would go the extra mile. And I will never neglect my family. In good or in bad situations, I will always do my best to help so we can all live a better life. So I can say, I more of a Mary Shannon. wink*

Blood type tag

I snagged this from Adi. I think this is kind of cool!

According to a Japanese institute research, there are certain personality that seem to match up with certain blood types.

TYPE O
You want to be a leader, and when you see something you want, you keep striving until you achieve your goal. You are a trend-setter, loyal, passionate, and self-confident. Your weaknesses include vanity and jealously and a tendency to be too competitive.

TYPE A
You like harmony, peace and organization. You work well with others, and are sensitive, patient and affectionate. Among your weaknesses are stubbornness and an inability to relax.

TYPE B
You’re a rugged individualist, who’s straightforward and likes to do things your own way. Creative and flexible, you adapt easily to any situation. But your insistence on being independent can sometimes go too far and become a weakness.

TYPE AB
Cool and controlled, you’re generally well liked and always put people at ease. You’re a natural entertainer who’s tactful and fair. But you’re standoffish, blunt, and have difficulty making decisions.

How do you rate?
I’m type B? Not sure though. Gotta to ask my Mom. :-) Yes, I am rugged and an individualist. Really fits me.

Now let’s keep this tag rolling! I want to know if your blood type really fits your personality.

Create a change

Do you think that it's already useless to fight and work to make this world a better place? Do you feel hopeless? Please do not feel that way. There are still people who actually are doing their best to make a change in their own ways. Try to visit RD.com - Make Your Mark. Read about the people, young or old, and their amazing works which are truly inspiring. Take for example, the story of Stevie Peacock. She is just a student at Pine View School in Osprey, Florida who decided to continue the efforts started by her school to help kids from low income families who need supplies in schools. And so she created Project Kindness in 2005 and until today, it is alive and growing.

Challenge yourself by taking one of the weekly challenges at RD.com, the Reader's Digest Homepage online. This week, they have three challenges that will support our troops. You can send prepaid calling cards, make a donation for the Armed forces and their families and adopt a soldier. Yes, you can make a change and it's not too late. Never will be. There is power in each of us that we may not have tapped and used for the greater good. Yes, we can.

Car hire worldwide

I'm so excited to go to Orlando this coming weekend. I haven't gone on vacation for months now which is already a long time for me and I feel like I'm burning out. Also, I haven't seen Universal Orlando so I'm sooooo excited! Sorry for my exaggeration. I'm just like a kid whenever I go to these kind of places. It's just going to be a two and a half hour drive from here so it's not so bad. I will be taking my car with us. I hope it's fit enough to go the distance. Let's hope for the best.

Actually, I'm already thinking of renting a car. Maybe it's better than using my own car. There is this cheap car hire that one can find online. They have contacts of car suppliers worldwide that can search for a rental car for you at the lowest price. I'm thinking that if ever you get stuck somewhere with a broken down car, as long as you have a laptop or access to the internet, you can actually contact them to provide you with a rental car. They even have Orlando in their list of locations served. And they offer a book now and pay later scheme. How cool is that! Now, I just need to find a laptop I can borrow from my friends. wink*

Fruits - Nature's Dessert

Who wouldn't agree of fruits being the nature's dessert? They are created sweet, have pleasing textures and colors to invite us to eat them. The good thing is that they contain vitamins, minerals, fiber, natural sugar and water for a healthy body. It is recommended that we eat at least 2 cups of fruit a day. Are you guilty of not doing so? You should! Lol! Anyways, if you think they are boring to eat, think of these suggestions:
1. Use the juice as dressings for salads and marinades
2. Mix them in salads
3.Replace ice cream with fruit sorbet
4.Make a delicious smoothie
5.Buy dried fruits for snack

Now are you ready with your list of fruits to buy in the market? Let me know if you don't, I might be able to help you. And if you want to cut some pounds and lose weight the natural way, go with fruits. Believe me, they work.

They offer techniques such as screen printing to embroidery for t-shirts, sweat shirts, teen apparel, polo shirts, and much more. SATC - finally!

Yes, I watched SATC - as in S*x and the City finally! Last Friday, my co-workers, friends and some of their friends went to Tinseltown at Southside to watch the much awaited movie. Wow! There were hundreds of women dressed really pretty! I'm not a lesbian but you can't help admire those women who were very fashionable that evening. You can really tell that they looove SATC! Well, it was also Friday night so I'm sure they had another place to go after the movie. Me? I went home. I'm a boring person. I'd rather sleep and get some rest.

Anyway, let's get down to the movie. I loved it! It's all about women's lovelife and drama of course. I laughed so many times. And I cried, too. huhu... Well, one of the character's life touched me so deeply. Lessons... I needed that. It's not a perfect movie but it was really worth the hype. wink*
