Mama Mia! - the movie - a review

Who hasn't seen Mama Mia! yet? Well, if you are a woman like me, this movie is for you. I highly recommend it. It's really worth to watch. Why?

First of all, it's all about women and love. Whatever I like in a movie, it's all there. It's funny, it's all about us women and finding love, it's full of singing and dancing which I knew the songs so well and first of all, it is contemporary so the lessons we can learn from the movie is applicable to today's times. I don't care what negative things people say about it. It's awesome! It's not my job to critic but I went to the theaters to enjoy it and be entertained. And I did. A lot! If I was watching inside the house and not at the theater, I would have danced and sang with the characters in the movie.

By the way, I was surprised to see Merryl Streep do so well. Also, Pierce Brosnan wasn't bad at all. He was good, too. Now, this young lady Amanda Seyfried is a hit to me. She sings very well, looks really pretty and knows how to act in my opinion. Every thing on the movie is magical. And hey don't forget the wonderful settings and view! I would love to go to Greece just to see how beautiful the place is. I don't mind watching it again and I'm sure it would be with other girlfriends at the comfort of home with martini glasses in hand, dancing and singing our hearts out! lol!

What's in a name?

If I am a powerful manga character, I will choose my own name Janice which means "God is gracious". I will be the giver and help people in times of needs. Like for example, the upcoming action-packed Japanese manga movie Bleach the Movie . The name of the character Ichigo Kurosaki, means “First Guardian” or “He who protects.” This movie will be shown on June 11th and 12th.

SATC - finally!

Yes, I watched SATC - as in S*x and the City finally! Last Friday, my co-workers, friends and some of their friends went to Tinseltown at Southside to watch the much awaited movie. Wow! There were hundreds of women dressed really pretty! I'm not a lesbian but you can't help admire those women who were very fashionable that evening. You can really tell that they looove SATC! Well, it was also Friday night so I'm sure they had another place to go after the movie. Me? I went home. I'm a boring person. I'd rather sleep and get some rest.

Anyway, let's get down to the movie. I loved it! It's all about women's lovelife and drama of course. I laughed so many times. And I cried, too. huhu... Well, one of the character's life touched me so deeply. Lessons... I needed that. It's not a perfect movie but it was really worth the hype. wink*

Much awaited SATC movie!

Wow! Finally, one of my favorite tv series is moving into the big screen. If you haven't heard over the radio or seen on t.v., Sex and the City - The Movie will be released on May 30th! Can't wait to watch it! Ever since in the Philippines years ago, I have avidly watched the series through UHF and has been a long time fan of the characters Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York Goldenblatt played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, respectively. Add to the excitement and curiousity is the talk I heard on my favorite morning FM radio show about somebody among the major casts ( I can't remember who ) who said that one of the characters die in the movie. Who could it be? They are guessing that it will be Charlotte. The spill may not be intentional but it only fueled the interest to watch the movie. Check their site at www.hbo.com/city/ to see trailers and find downloads. See ya at the theater!
