True Love

It's poem time once again. I will leave you to go to work today with this one.

True Love
by: John Glare

True love is a sacred flame
That burns eternally,
And none can dim its special glow
Or change its destiny.
True love speaks in tender tones
And hears with gentle ear,
True love gives with open heart
And true love conquers fear.
True love makes no harsh demands
It neither rules nor binds,
And true love holds with gentle hands
The hearts that it entwines.

Alcohol Boating Deaths

It might be lots of fun to go boating but like driving a car, if you are under the influence of alcohol, it's dangerous, too. We should not think differently of boats. There are already so many fatalities related to alcohol boating. The legal limit for blood alcohol is .08 for both car and boat driving. Both are also a class one demeanor. Educate yourself by checking out the Boating Education Online. Don't forget to watch the video below.

If you are a Dog: A very loyal and sweet person. Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed.
Absolutely hassle free, humble and down-to-earth!! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little group of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.

If you are a Mouse: Always up to some sort of a mischief! The mischievous gleam in your eyes is what makes you so cute and attractive to everyone. You are an extremely fun-to-be-with kind of person. No wonder people seek for your company and look forward to include you for all get-together's. However, you are sensitive which is a drawback.
People need to select their words while talking to you. If someone tries to fiddle around and play with words while dealing with you, it is enough to invite your wrath. God bless the person then!

If you are a Lion: Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. Popular and easy-going. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactfully derive work from people. People love the way you always treat them. You love being loved, and when you receive your share of limelight from someone, you are all theirs!!!!

If you are a Cat: An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you're cool but when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You're a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don't like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.

If you are a Turtle: You are near to perfect and nice at heart. The examples of your kindness are always circulated in groups of people.
You, too, love peace. You wouldn't like to retaliate even to a person who is in the wrong. You are loved due to this. You do not wish to talk behind one's back. People love the way you always treat them. You can give, give and give love, and the best part is that you do not expect it back in return. You are generous enough. Seeing things in a practical light is what remains the best trait of you guys.

If you are a Dove: You symbolize a very happy-go-lucky approach in life. Whatever the surroundings may be, grim or cheerful, you remain unaffected. In fact, you spread cheer wherever you go. You are the leader of your group of friends and good at consoling people in their times of need. You dislike hypocrisy and tend to shirk away from hypocrites. They can never be in your good books, no matter what. You are very methodical and organized in your work. No amount of mess, hence, can ever encompass you. Beware, it is easy for you to fall in love....

If you are a Panther: You are mysterious. You are someone who can handle pressure with ease, and can handle any atmosphere without going berserk. You can be mean at times, and love to gossip with your selected group. Very prim and proper. You like all situations and things to be in the way you desire, which, sometimes is not possible. As a result, you may lose out in some relationships. But otherwise, you love to help people out from difficult and tight spots when they really need you.

If you are a Monkey: Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minded bunch you people are!!

So, what are you?

Miss me?

I don't miss myself but definitely my blog. Wheww! Four days of non-activity? It's already too much for me. I don't want to neglect this one. But to maintain two blogs is already becoming difficult for me. I would want to have something for my readers every other day but oh well, got to relax and enjoy sometimes.

Anyway, I'm sure some had a really nice 4th of July celebration. I did. I didn't get to see the real big fireworks but the fireworks from neighbors of a friend couple where I celebrated that day were enough entertainment for me. Here's the nicest picture I took of the fireworks.

Personal Growth website

Today I stumbled upon a website that talked about travel and personal growth. I was moved by the story shared by Axel G in his website. It's about his travel to South Africa and the reflections he had from it. I've have not traveled to another country except here in the states. I came from the Philippines and I know what life is over there so I can totally relate to Axel's realization. Just as he was affected by his African experience, I, too can say that I have grown through the few years I have lived here. Try to visit his website and you might find the way to your personal growth.

The Best Gift Ever

I have been tagged by three blogger friends of mine. Thank you Gie, Hailey and Purpled Sky. Appreciate the thought. :)

Be sure to read on till the end of the story. You'll never regret it.

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom. And knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him.He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.Curious, but somehow disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold.Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?"And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possesions to his son.He needed to come home immediately and take care of his things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He begun to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and begun to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt. 7:11, "And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?"

As he reads those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.
How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected?

I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...
PLS. SEND THIS TO ATLEAST FIVE PEOPLE SO AS TO LET THIS GREAT LESSON FLOW AROUND.

I'm guilty of being impatient too like the man in this story. As young as I am, I still have to learn so many things in life including being patient and being hopeful that God already knows what's in my heart and mind. I don't want to complain of anything but sometimes I forget that I have received so much blessings in life compared to what I had before. There are blessings in disguise and only time will uncover it for me. I should always think that things happen for a reason and God's will will always be the best for me. I just need to be patient, be content and see all the things that come my way in a positive view.

I'm tagging nobody. If you like the story, please pass it on. Thank you.

Criss Angel

Have you heard about Criss Angel before? Have you seen him on tv? Not all know or heard of him but most already are familiar with him. He's very popular due to the tricks he played on people which were shown on television. One couldn't help but be amazed at his talent. How can he do those things? Does he really have magic? Or is he so brilliant and expert on tricks that one can't see how he did it?

There are other so called magicians who are really good at their craft. But how does Criss differ from them? To be honest, he's the only one I know that does magical tricks. I don't know any other because I'm not into those things until I saw Criss on tv. The raging bull, steam roller trick, car crash escape and many others makes you wonder how on earth did he do it? How can he escape? What tricks and escapes is he going to show when he appears in Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. Also, Cirque Du Soleil will have a new performance featuring CRISS ANGEL which is called CRISS ANGEL Believe. I have never seen him perform in person. I'm interested to watch it for free? Are you? Just text 'Believe' on your mobile phones to 22122 to win 2 free tickets to this show. Isn't that cool? I'm going to start texting now.

Orchids

I have always admired orchids since I was a child. When we went to Asheville, North Carolina at the famous grand Biltmore Estate, I was able to take a picture of this gorgeous orchid inside their enclosed garden. I remember my Mom's orchids which I already mentioned in my prior posts. I am totally sure that we have this kind of orchid. I have seen a much better kind and lovelier orchids than this. It's kind of nostalgic whenever I see these flowers.

I remember so well, I like to watch my Mom in silence while she lovingly waters her orchids early in the morning. She talked to them believing that they will grow and bloom better which I think really worked. We always have beautiful blooms everyday. I guess partly due to the eggshells she puts on the roots instead of throwing those empty shells in the garbage. She was so proud of them. I saw how happy my Mom was at that time. I miss those days. I hope I can have flowers too in my own little backyard someday. Dreams can come true....
